Despite being wed since 2008, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are reiterating their commitment to one another. At de Rossi’s 50th birthday party on January 31, the couple reaffirmed their vows, with de Rossi pleasantly surprising DeGeneres with the thoughtful gesture.
On February 2, a video of the event was posted to YouTube by “The Ellen Show,” and it shows De Rossi beginning things off by walking up to DeGeneres while wearing a bridal gown, to the latter’s obvious shock. Live music by Brandi Carlile played as the pair made their way to the altar, and friend Kris Jenner performed the ceremony.
These two are “relationship goals” and never cease to amaze Jenner with how adorable they are together, she said. “Identical twins. Their dedication to one another and incredible affection for one another make me incredibly happy that they have one another to adore, cherish, and spend their golden years with.”
De Rossi continued by praising her wife. Besides than spending time with family and friends, she stated, “I was thinking about what would make my birthday particularly memorable, and it was reminding you that you are the most important thing in the world to me. DeGeneres responded, “You save me every single day. “I’m the fortunate one,”
The star-studded Montecito, California, ceremony was also attended by Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Courteney Cox, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Melissa Etheridge, and Katy Perry.
