Cops Hear Gurgling When Baby Accidentally Calls 911, Arrive To Sick Scene

After a baby got a hold of her mother’s cell phone and was playing on it, she accidentally called 911 and left the phone on with the dispatcher on the line. When the dispatcher didn’t get a response from the caller, they were about to end the call when the phone picked up on something else happening in the room.

The 1-year-old’s accidental call came into the Tulsa County Sheriff’s office at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday from Danielle Anderson’s home in the nearby town of Bixby, Oklahoma. Anderson was home alone with her daughter at the time who was found in a playpen when officers arrived, surprising the mother who had no clue the police were on their way after hearing the horrid thing she was caught doing that’s now landed her in jail.

The dispatcher reported hearing some “gurgling” noises on the other end of the line from elsewhere in the room and sent police, fearing that there was a medical emergency. When they arrived at Anderson’s house, they found the 30-year-old mother in a “deep sleep,” which they had trouble waking her from, and soon discovered the reason for it when they saw everything surrounding her.

According to Fox 23, the child was in the bedroom where her mom was found in a drug-induced state, after going on a meth bender for days and finally passing out. Officers found pill bottles, glass smoking devices with burn marks and residue, and syringes littering the room. There was no food in the home and the restrooms didn’t appear to be in working order. The baby was in her playpen in the center of this filth and was removed before her mom finally woke and admitted using meth.

Anderson was read her rights and also informed of the coincidental call, which the mother is referred to as “a miracle from God and a wake-up call.” After being checked by medics, the little girl was turned over to family members to care for her while her mom is in jail where she can sober up before hopefully going into a drug rehabilitation center. The drugged-up mother has been charged with child endangerment, possession of drugs near a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
