Chris Noth’s wife, Tara Wilson, was photographed crying in her car in Los Angeles, amid the continuing fallout from her husband’s sexual assault scandal.
Wilson, clad in dark tones and wearing sunglasses and a mask outside, was also seen having a phone conversation as she strolled. Judging from the pictures, she has not yet resumed wearing her wedding band.
Noth, 67, was accused by two women of sexual assault shortly before Christmas 2021, with others subsequently coming forward; the total number of women speaking out against him now stands at five.
In the wake of the accusations, the actor was dropped from the CBS series “The Equalizer,” and his scenes as Mr. Big in the “Sex and the City” reboot, “And Just Like That,” have reportedly been cut from the end of the series.
Noth put out a statement calling the accusations “categorically false.” Asked for comment by photographers in December, he said, “I’ll now let the chips fall where they may. My statement is my statement, that’s all I can give.”
Meanwhile, Page Six reported that, after the accusations went public, Noth and Wilson’s marriage was left “hanging by a thread,” and that Wilson was in LA, while Noth remained in New York, spending Christmas alone. The couple married in Hawaii in 2002.
“Tara is upset and things are hanging by a thread,” an insider told us. “She just wants to protect the kids [Orion, 13, and Keats, 18 months]. That is her number-one priority.”
One source close to the couple told us last week: “The problem is that even if Chris did not do what these woman said he did, he still had some kind of sexual encounter with them and he cheated on Tara. That is hard to come to terms with.”
“At the moment, they’re still together. They’re trying to work things out.”
Another source close to the former “Law & Order” star said, “Chris honestly feels like his life is over. I think that drinking has played a big role in his problems. Everything is taking a toll. His friends would like him to get some help.”
Added an industry insider, “Chris has no option now but to step away from the public eye for a good long while and try to rehabilitate himself.”
